"If to far India's coast we sail, Thy eyes are seen in di'monds bright Thy breath is Africk's spicy gale Thy skin is ivory, so white. Thus ev'ry beauteous object that I view Wakes in my soul some charm of lovely Sue."

(John Gay)

This piece of classical quotation/poetry by John Gay in which he ventures a fusion between India and Sue, his beloved, is an absolute portrayal of my recent trip to India.

It was mid-February this year when I was extended an invitation by United Producers Association (UPA-Pakistan), to attend FRAMES, 2008 in Mumbai, India.

Organized by Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), FRAMES was described to me as a global entertainment event and biggest such event in Asia.

Our team decided that we would not only participate but would also book a stall/booth to represent and introduce Kohinoor Studio. We later found out that we were first ever Pakistani media company to do so.

Fabulous, enthralling, enriching, warm and spicy is how I would describe the trip.

It was this trip to India which has finally made me dis-inherit Sir Anthony Cooper’s quotation which states…. “There is melancholy which accompanies all enthusiasm”. In exploring India, the fertile dominion, exhilaration had overthrown melancholy.

During my five-day stay in Mumbai I..... bowed to spirituality at Haji Ali's.... was mesmerized by the cultural affluence and its diversity..... respected Indian professionalism.... appreciated the charm of an Indian female and the empowerment she owns... And finally felt indebted to the Indian hospitality which not only nurtured my inquisitive yearn.... but also provided for the ultimate experience which I would cherish forever.
